Hooper Construction Notice: March 1, 2019
Posted March 1, 2019, 2:43 PM
March and April will be busy months for the Hooper housing project as we have finished installing the piles and are ready to pour the concrete slab. There will also be storm sewer work to do along Hooper Street and at the intersection of 8th and Carolina Streets, so be prepared once again for changed traffic lanes and loss of street parking, along with workers and equipment in the streets around the San Francisco campus over the next few weeks. Be aware of your surroundings, read all posted signage, and/or follow directions from construction personnel.
WHAT TO EXPECT: All community members on the San Francisco campus can expect concrete trucks lined up around and driving to/from the site; workers and equipment in the streets; changes to parking, sidewalks, and crosswalks; and street closures over the next two months. Individuals working in 184 Hooper Street (GC 1)—which houses the MFA Design Studios, Grad offices, and GC classrooms—the Nave (along the Hooper Street side) and 80 Carolina can expect loud noise during this time.
Please read all posted signage and/or follow directions from construction personnel.
