The college has hosted numerous events focusing on issues of social justice, equity, and diversity. The The DEIB Community Forum - formerly known as the President’s Diversity Steering Group (PDSG) - has been hard at work implementing action plans for improving student and faculty recruitment and retention as well as training and development for staff, faculty, and students.

Campus Policies
Creating an environment that fosters the success and happiness of all our community members and values diversity and difference is everyone's responsibility. CCA maintains policies prohibiting discrimination and unlawful harassment (including hateful speech and graffiti).
CANVAS Program
CANVAS (CCA’s Artist’s Network Valuing Aspiring Scholars) is a scholars program which provides talented, historically under-represented incoming students of color leadership development and mentorship. It is an immersive full year program that affords participants an advanced opportunity to engage with the people, departments and resources that will help them navigate their collegiate experience effectively and emerge as campus leaders.
DEIB Community Forum
The DEIB Community Forum - formerly known as the President’s Diversity Steering Group (PDSG) - is composed of key faculty, staff, and students who are advocates for human rights and social justice, and who work together to guide the college's fulfillment of its diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging mission and goals.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging Task Force
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging Task Force (DEIBTF) was established by the college as the action arm for DEIB efforts. The charge of the DEIBTF is to develop and implement activities that foster a community-wide understanding of diversity and inclusion, and support ongoing growth towards cultural competence, including cultural literacy and cultural fluency across all aspects of the college.

News, Events, & Information
Student Advocates
Student Belonging & Inclusion and the Office of the Dean of Students, both part of the Division of Student Affairs, provide student support and advocacy. They ensure that students develop and sustain a strong sense of belonging and feeling included in the CCA community through initiatives that uplift the voices of BIPOC students, women, LGBTQQIP2SAA students, first generation students, and other historically marginalized and/or underrepresented populations.
Student Organizations
CCA encourages all students to join or create new student organizations, groups, or clubs. Participation provides valuable experience that can have a positive effect on a student's college years as well as their future professional and personal life.
