RRR Arts Reporter

Last updated on Jul 30, 2024

The CCA Exhibitions Team seeks creatives from all disciplines passionate about contemporary art and design to respond to events and exhibitions at CCA for Rewind Review Respond (RRR). RRR is an online forum where CCA students write about the ideas that affect their practice, communities, and fields of study. The forum was founded by Katherine Jemima Hamilton (Visual and Critical Studies, Curatorial Practice 2022) in fall 2020, to help foster conversation and a sense of connection at CCA during a time of social-distance learning. It continues as a site for discussion and collaboration across CCA divisions, and as an opportunity for professional development.

Responses can take the form of any creative work that can be disseminated digitally, including short-form reviews, interviews with artists, audio or video essays, podcast episodes, illustration, comics, photography, diagrams, etc.

RRR Arts Reporters are hired for the duration of one academic year, but work on a freelance basis based on their interest and availability. Arts Reporters are expected to work up to 12.5 hours on each written, audio, or visual response, including time spent attending the event or exhibition they're covering, drafting the response, and integrating 1–3 rounds of feedback.

Hourly Rate: $18.67.

Arts Reporters report to RRR's Lead Editor and Assistant Editor, who are graduate students advised by CCA's Gallery Manager.

Please send a resume, brief cover letter (<200 words), and work sample (no more than 5 written pages, images, or links to audio/visual recordings) to rrr@cca.edu. Arts Reporters are hired throughout the academic year as needed.
