Social Media
Purpose
Through the power of social media, we can amplify the culturally engaged and innovative work produced by CCA alumni, faculty, and students as broadly as possible. From collaborations between Marketing & Communications and all of our partners across the college, our content aims to promote the values of our college, celebrate achievements, and share opportunities for academic and professional growth. Overall, CCA's social media presence should share an online experience consistent with our on-campus online and share accurate information to protect our students, staff, and faculty.
Official CCA Channels
Flagship social media accounts are the primary channels of the college and are managed by CCA's Marketing & Communications Office:
- @cacollegeofarts (Instagram)
- @ccaofficial (TikTok)
- @cacollegeofarts (Twitter)
- California College of the Arts (LinkedIn)
- California College of the Arts (Facebook)
Sub-brand accounts are staff- and faculty-administered accounts representing the college's academic programs, curricular services, and student support offices. Sub-brand accounts are intended to showcase an academic program or facet of campus life. Below are a few resources to help, but feel free to reach out to CCA’s social media team at any time with questions:
- Sub-brand account policy
- Sub-brand account training deck
- Sub-brand account directory
- Editorial Calendar Template
- Calendar of Hashtag Holidays and Events
Student Features
The flagship account collaborates with students to demonstrate the college’s mission in action, including, but not limited to, Q&A interviews or Marcom-made videos. Student selections are merit-based, such as award winners or those recommended by deans or chairs for exemplary work that represents their division or program.
CCA social media channels are not for student self-promotion. Our content strategy showcases our four divisions and 30 programs by highlighting students in good academic standing who exemplify the Creative Accord, CCA’s ethical and cultural community agreement. Alternatively, channels can showcase cohorts' work to support the program as a whole.
