Event description

Join Elena Dendiberia and Homan Rajai, principals of Studio AHEAD, for a compelling lecture on their innovative approach to art and design. Based in San Francisco, Studio AHEAD is deeply rooted in Northern California's rich cultural history while drawing inspiration from their diasporic experiences. Embracing a “borderless” philosophy, they challenge the idea of universal functionality, emphasizing the importance of tradition, craftsmanship, and cultural specificity. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear how Studio AHEAD redefines contemporary design through an appreciation of history, community, and craft.

Elena Dendiberia is an internationally exhibited artist with a sensual approach to art and design. She brings together the tactile experience of her art with a design vernacular that evolves through close collaboration with artists, craftsmen, and fabricators.

Homan Rajai is the driving force behind Studio AHEAD. Informed by his Persian heritage, his travels, and his background in landscape architecture, he crafts spatial narratives that tell unique stories.
