Using CCA-Specific Media

You can incorporate images onto your Portal pages in a number of ways, from inline images to banners. On any Portal page that shows up in site search results, you are required to designate a “card thumbnail image,” which will show up in the page’s search result listing.
Images are a great way to convey meaning visually and make your webpages more eye-catching. While stock images may embody a page’s subject/content in a generic sense, they do not convey much meaning about CCA specifically. In some cases, having images unique to CCA helps keep your content feeling vibrant, inviting, and well-considered.
How Am I Supposed to Find CCA-Specific Media?
As much as possible, try to avoid reusing images that another person has uploaded onto Portal. Chances are, anyone who’s uploaded an image into the Wagtail Image Library took the time to find something great for their pages specifically.
Do your fellow editors and end-users a favor by uploading new images for your own pages. Keeping images fresh and unique helps sustain interest and build confidence amongst our user pool!
This may sound daunting, but luckily, CCA’s MarCom team maintains an internal media library, Bynder, that they have made available for Portal editors to use.
You’ll have access to Bynder’s public collection(s), which have been vetted for use on Portal as you see fit. Find links to these collections and instructions for use here.
Each image is available for download in a few different sizes. For use on Portal, the smallest image file size is generally optimal for balancing quality with webpage load times (the larger an image file, the longer it might take for it to render when a page first loads).
