We are thrilled to announce the launch of Portal-wide search. We’re planning more search refinements this year, but we’re certain this first version will enhance your Portal experience.

The Portal team worked hard to provide a robust and a delightful search experience. If you enter a query for ‘glass,’ the results you see will be for People, Courses and all Portal pages, including Shops.

While we were at it, we also improved the People directory search. If you search for the word ‘glass,’ you’ll not only find people whose names include ‘glass,’ but also faculty, staff, and students associated with the Glass program.

We’ve also added a nifty autosuggest feature that will make finding content & people faster by intelligently suggesting results as you type.

You won’t notice this, but we also put some effort into behind-the-scenes changes to improve the stability of our code.

So, give it a whirl and let us know what you think by using our Portal feedback form!

Look out for newly added Portal content – Learning Resources, Financial Aid and Housing & Residence Life are all aiming to go live in the next month or so.
