Setting a "Fixed" Wi-Fi Address on Apple Devices
Having to frequently reconnect your Apple device to the CCA Wi-Fi network?
The latest versions of Apple's operating systems (MacOS 15.x, iOS 18.x, and iPadOS 18.x and later) default to using a randomized network address which can require reconnecting to the network more frequently.
To ensure a smooth connection, you’ll need to set a fixed MAC address for the CCA Wi-Fi network.
Configuring your Macintosh computer
1 Open Network Settings:
Go to System Settings > Wi-Fi.
2 Select Your Network:
Click the network you’re connected to, then select Details… (or the information icon).
3 Turn Off Private Addressing:
Change Private Wi-fi address to Fixed and click OK.

4 Reconnect to the Network:
Your Mac will now use a fixed MAC address for this connection.
Configuring your iPhone or iPad
1 Open the Settings App:
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
2 Select Your Network:
Tap the information icon (i) next to the Wi-Fi network you’re connected to.
3 Disable Private Wi-Fi Address:
Toggle Private Wi-Fi Address to Fixed.
A prompt may appear asking if you want to stop using a private address. Tap Continue to confirm.
4 Reconnect to the Network:
Your device will reconnect using its fixed MAC address.
