Fine Arts: Sculpture, BFA
About
Whatever you dare to imagine creating, CCA’s Sculpture Program encourages you to make it happen.
Free Your Imagination
Inside our expansive studios, which offer everything from traditional bronze casting to computer-aided 3D rapid prototyping, you’ll make sculpture at any scale, in any material imaginable. You’ll also experiment with installation, video, performance, and public art. Most importantly, you’ll discover how your practice as an artist can actually help transform society.
Take Creative Risks
CCA’s Sculpture faculty consists of renowned practicing artists who have exhibited nationally and internationally. They encourage you to develop your ideas using conceptual reasoning and problem-solving skills. In our collaborative and interdisciplinary environment you’ll experiment with a wide array of materials as you incorporate painting, photography, textiles, and ceramics, among other mediums, into your work.
Forge a Lifelong Creative Career
The San Francisco Bay Area’s vibrant art scene will inspire you 24/7, while providing diverse opportunities to showcase your art. To prepare you for your creative future, you’ll exhibit professionally with solo and group shows before you graduate. Whether you’re planning for graduate school or looking to launch your career in the arts -- like many of our notable alumni have -- you’ll leave CCA prepared to make art that affects the community and changes the world.
