Getting support through Academic Services and Programs (ASAP)
Academic Services and Programs (ASAP) is Academic Affairs’ ticketing system used to provide collaborative support to program chairs, deans, and faculty. ASAP can be reached at asap@cca.edu *. ASAP combines staff from across the functional areas of Academic Affairs, who use the platform to collaborate on solutions and provide the quickest possible turnaround times while minimizing the amount of back-and-forth on email threads. The functional areas include Academic Operations and Systems, Curricular Programming & Operations, Graduate Affairs & Community Engagement, and Professional Engagement and External Partnerships. In addition to the functional areas, frequent contributors include Academic Advising, Faculty Affairs, AIS, and others.
In general, if a faculty member is not sure where to get support or information their first step should be searching CCA Portal. If the information is not available on Portal, faculty should then consult with their program chair. The chair will either provide direct support or may direct the faculty member to contact divisional staff, ASAP, or a different office at CCA. Some specific processes may involve a faculty member needing to directly email information or a request to ASAP. If a faculty member is unable to find resources or support on Portal or via their chair, ASAP is the next best option.
Students who need support should use ask@cca.edu instead of ASAP. Similarly if a faculty member has questions about a student or is trying to get support for a student, they should contact ask@cca.edu. For quick links to other support resources at CCA, please see below.
*Please do not CC members of Academic Affairs staff on emails to ASAP as it can create “crossed threads” of emails. We will make sure the right people see the email on the backend to provide the best possible solution.
