Posted Announcements in Residential Buildings Policy

Blattner
The bulletin boards located in the hallways are reserved for Residential Education, Housing & Dining, property management and health and safety related announcements
The large boards in each of the common areas are designated for general CCA announcements for the residential community, and building programming
Founders
The bulletin boards located off the elevator in each common area are reserved for residential education, housing & dining, property management and health and safety related announcements
The columns in each common area are designated for other general CCA announcements for the residential community, and building programming.
The wall across from the elevator bank can be used for postings in the following three categories (we are working on vinyl signage)
- Housing & Dining Updates
- Residential Events and Programming
- Campus Wide Announcements
Criteria
- Abide by CCA's residential community standards and student code of conduct
- Are from a CCA sponsored student group, academic program, or administrative department, including on campus jobs
Not allowed
- Solicitation or marketing of any product, service, or otherwise that is not explicitly approved
- Offsite housing/rentals or subleases
- Offsite job postings
- Restaurant menus (these can easily be found online and take up space)
Approval process
- Drop off materials to Founders Hall and/or Blattner Hall Front desk
- Residential Education will provide approval or follow up with feedback
- RAs on duty will post all approved materials in the designated areas
- RAs will also remove any unapproved announcements posted on the locations listed above
- Maximum number of announcements for distribution 5 (1 per floor)
Posting on any other space or wall is strictly prohibited
Announcements of any kind are strictly prohibited anywhere other than the designated areas outlined above in the residential halls, this includes the front desk, lobby, outdoor spaces, cafe and elevators. Anyone caught in violation of this policy is subject to conduct action.
Number of prints:
- Founders Hall has 5 floors, so 5 prints is an acceptable number
- Blattner Hall has 4 floors, so 4 prints is an acceptable number
