There are many staple events Campus Life hosts every year at CCA, here are our most anticipated events of the school year.

During Welcome Week, we kick off the start of the school year with our annual Chimerapalooza! We celebrate coming back together and welcoming new members of the community. This is a great opportunity for new and returning students to get acquainted with everything the college and the surrounding greater Bay Area community has to offer. In addition to college departments, Chartered Student Organizations, and local businesses have given out freebies, resource information, and add to the fun! Free food, games, and music round out this festive celebration!

Takes typically place in August at the end of Chimera Welcome Week.

Explore the hyperlocal community festivals and greater Bay Area neighborhoods with the Campus Life team. We've offered free tickets to debut films, celebrated decade-long San Francisco fests like Chinatown's Lunar New Year Parade, Japantown's Cherry Blossom Festival, Castro's Street Fair, and more! This is a wonderful opportunity for you to get acquainted with the beauty of the Bay and to make San Francisco your campus!

These take place each semester during the academic year based on San Francisco and Bay Area calendar of events.

All CCA students, alumni, faculty, staff, and Friends of CCA are invited to sell their original art and/or crafts at the annual Art & Craft Fairs (fall semester) and Spring Fair (spring semester). Open to the public, this is a unique opportunity to discover and purchase one-of-a-kind gifts while enjoying music, food, fun activities, local organizations and businesses while being in community. The week before finals, Brain Breaks is a series of free events to help CCA students survive the end of the semester . Activities provide opportunity for students to take a well-earned self-care break from final projects with free giveaways, wellness themed programs, and snacks throughout the week!

This is a week-long Halloween celebration on campus! Enjoy annual pumpkin decorating, enjoy trick-or-treating on campus, show off your costume at the annual Costume Contest Party, and more exciting Halloween-themed activities and programs!
