Campus Life’s educational priority is to craft a campus experience that empowers students to become good neighbors & global creative citizens. Our work is firmly grounded in the Creative Accord and its four guiding principles: Radical Responsibility, Think Beyond, Cultivate Creative Action, and Become chimeraMade. The Learning Goals & Learning Outcomes of Campus Life strive to achieve the stated educational priority and awaken the Creative Accord and its principles in the daily work of Campus Life.

Educational Priority

As a result of the student experience at CCA, students will become good neighbors and global creative citizens.

Learning Goals

  • Students connected to Campus Life will identify and synthesize their values, beliefs, and identities to develop a personal philosophy.
  • Students connected to Campus Life will construct and employ a picture of holistic wellness that creates opportunities for belonging in the community.
  • Students connected to Campus Life will explore how they can impact their local and global community through social justice, and community and civic engagement.

What Resources and Programs Can We Provide?

  • Living in CCA’s residential communities: Blattner Hall and Founders Hall
  • Opportunities to build global community, celebrate diversity, and develop life skills
  • Events, activities, and campus traditions focused on wellness, community, and belonging.
  • Opportunities to sell artwork at the annual art and craft fair
  • Resources to start student organizations and clubs
  • Leadership opportunities through student organizations and clubs, Resident Advisors (peer connection and community connection), Program Assistants, Student Council (undergraduate), and Graduate Student Alliance (graduate).
  • Support and guidance from Campus Life’s professional staff
