Roles and Responsibilities for New Hire Onboarding
Human Resources is responsible for the following:
- Offer Letters
- I-9 Employment Verification Process
- Creating and facilitating New Hire Orientation (please click here for the orientation slide deck)
- Coordinating with the staff union to ensure union eligible employees attend union orientation
- Offering and maintaining New Staff Campus Tours
- Offering and maintaining the New Hire Staff Ambassadors Program
- Scheduling a 3 month Check In
The Helpdesk is responsible for:
- Providing access to systems such as Workday, Salesforce, Google Suite, Zoom, Zoom Phone
- Providing access to a desktop or laptop computer
- Providing instructions on how to create your CCA email account
- Meeting with the new employee to conduct a New Staff Technology Orientation
The manager is responsible for:
- Answering questions related to your department, including how the work in your area aligns with the goals of CCA in support of our mission.
- Introducing you to your team and colleagues
- Provide training on CCA systems including, but not limited to Workday and Google Suite
- Provide guidance on how to enter hours on a timesheet in Workday for hourly workers (if applicable)
- Review your division's strategic plan
- Discuss and review the job description as well as the specific procedures and expectations of the role.
- Purchasing ergonomic equipment and office supplies, as requested
